The Research Project
Mackman Research was commissioned to carry out an annual human resources staff survey at Baker Tilly, Bury St Edmunds. An important element of the project was the ongoing monitoring of staff perceptions.
Customer Survey Feedback Results
100 respondents completed the survey within the two-week period, representing a 100% response rate. This strong level of participation ensured the data was both representative and reliable, supporting internal decision-making and reinforcing employee engagement.
Research Aims & Objectives
The primary objective was to monitor staff perceptions and satisfaction across key areas such as leadership, communication, workload, and support. Baker Tilly aimed to assess progress against previous surveys and gather detailed feedback to inform internal HR planning and cultural development initiatives. The research also sought to foster an open dialogue between staff and senior management.
The Research Design & Methodology
An existing survey was developed in collaboration with Baker Tilly, with 66 questions and space to comment. The Mackman Research team surveyed all employees of Baker Tilly Bury St Edmunds. The research took place using an online methodology and confidentiality was introduced in an effort to encourage full and frank participation from employees. A contact list of 100 personnel was supplied in MS Excel format and all contacts were invited by email to participate in the survey. The on-line survey was ‘live’ over the course of 2 weeks. During this time various reminder emails were sent to each employee who had not responded.
Research Outcomes
The comprehensive data provided Baker Tilly with a clear view of staff attitudes and organisational health. The feedback enabled senior management to identify strengths in employee engagement, as well as specific areas requiring attention. Mackman Research delivered a visual, easy-to-interpret report, which was used to support HR strategy, inform future initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in workplace culture.
