We're excited to share some great news with our clients and partners: Mackman Research has achieved the prestigious Market Research Society (MRS) Company Partner accreditation. This accomplishment underscores our commitment to ethical research practices and industry standards, reflecting our dedication to providing professional research services.
The Market Research Society (MRS) is the UK professional body for research, insight and analytics. They support the industry by setting standards with specialist training and qualifications, professional membership, company accreditation, conferences/events, awards, and advice on best practice. With a mission to ensure ethical and accurate research practices, MRS plays a key role in shaping the industry by:
MRS sets the standard for ethical research practices through specialised training, qualifications, and the MRS Code of Conduct. This code serves as a set of guidelines for researchers, ensuring they operate with integrity and professionalism.
MRS encourages professionals to continue learning and growing, ensuring that researchers stay updated with the latest trends and advancements.
MRS provides a platform for experts to connect, collaborate, and share insights through conferences, events, and awards. This collaborative spirit promotes innovation and mutual growth.
As well as presenting various awards annually, such as the MRS Operational Awards (or ‘Oppies’), the MRS also provide the opportunity for Company Partner accreditation - an acknowledgment reserved for companies that consistently maintain the highest research standards.
Our path to achieving MRS accreditation reflects our commitment to ethical research practices. We have held longstanding individual memberships with MRS for over 20 years, and in 2022 received an Oppies award for our COVID-19 business research project conducted in collaboration with Essex County Council.
Due to our track record of maintaining high standards, our level of personal qualifications, and our commitment to MRS practices we were eligible to gain accreditation to become an MRS Company Partner. Our accreditation underscores our dedication to maintaining professionalism and quality, demonstrating that we have meet a high standard of knowledge and skill to pass the assessment. For Mackman Research the accreditation is recognition of our work to date and our established position within the research sector. The MRS Company Partner status holds significant implications for both us and our clients:
The accreditation signifies our formal commitment to adhering to MRS standards and codes of practice. Clients can be confident that our research methodologies meet established norms and ethical guidelines.
“MRS accreditation is an industry recognition that we uphold standardised practices - meaning, upon seeing the MRS Company Partner badge, prospects and clients understand that our practices are standardised (the same or similar to others in our industry).“
Dr Gemma Mackman, Research Director
MRS accreditation provides access to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for our team. This empowers our employees to enhance their skills, stay updated with trends, and provide better service. It also helps to provide professional recognition and status to boost our employee recruitment.
As an MRS Company Partner, we're excited about the opportunities ahead. The partnership provides a range of training opportunities tailored to various expertise levels. These training programs empower our team to refine their skills and stay current with industry trends.
Furthermore, MRS members and partners gain access to valuable insights through information and journals. This adds to our ability to stay at the forefront of the research, insight, and analytics landscape, enabling us to deliver even better results for our clients.
“MRS members and partners have access to information and journals which are a valuable source of industry knowledge, enabling staff to up-skill or embed their existing practices, drawing further support from literature.”
Dr Gemma Mackman, Research Director
Achieving MRS accreditation reflects our commitment to ethical research practices and industry standards. As an MRS Company Partner, Mackman Research solidifies its role as a reliable research partner, poised to contribute to the advancement of the research, insight, and analytics sector.
