Our Social Researchers

Our social researchers are highly experienced in quantitative and qualitative research and in the formulation of both structured and semi-structured questionnaires.  Our small team has broad and varied backgrounds that enable us to take an approach to interviewing that draws on our valuable life skills.  Within the world of professional research our training has been formal and academic, as well as practical and dynamic. At Mackman Research we are experts in interviewing and working with people from high demand, sensitive or even marginalised groups.  Our skilled researchers have worked with people with chaotic lifestyles (drug, alcohol and or mental health issues) and those that have experienced challenging life events. We have a track record of face-to-face interviews with respondents from deprived households and those who are long-term unemployed. We conduct interviews in a manner that is both respectful and appreciative of the daily difficulties an individual may face.

Social Research Project Managers

Our tailored social research is designed and managed by a social research project manager and our Research Director. Social Research Project managers are highly qualified and experienced within the field of social research.  They hold Graduate degrees at Masters level and above. Your manager will liaise with you throughout the project and will deliver the findings. In specific instances the Research Director may conduct all research practices.

Social Researchers

All researchers will have completed specific research methodology training (ESRC approved) and have experience within the multi-faceted field of social research. Our social researchers have skills in questionnaire design and ethnographic research methods. Our social researchers are members of the Social Research Association and hold enhanced CRB certification.

Mackman Research Approach

We treat every project individually and not a templated one product fits all approach. Our tailored social research services ensure that results are statistically sound and relevant to the needs of the client that has commissioned them. Careful consideration is given to the research methods employed and we will often use a blended approach.  All social research projects are conducted following strict ethical guidelines as laid down by the Market Research Society (MRS). Our reporting is accurate and concise. We do not translate “real” language, as meaning or strength of feeling can be distorted by editing. Our strap-line is “together we grow” - we encourage collaboration recognising multi-discipline expertise.
